It is well known that Moe Brody is no stranger to the entertainment industry. Her long-standing position as co-owner of Harbour Dance Centre makes her an invaluable member of the community. She is widely sought after as a choreographer, teacher, adjudicator and mentor. Her broad repertoire encompasses not only multiple genres of dance (jazz, hip hop, contemporary, musical theatre and tap) but also many other forms of movement including pop-culture trends, cheerleading, movement for actors, ethnic genres and social dances. Moe’s dedication to in-depth research of each and every project for which she is a part is testament to why she is routinely hired as a choreographer for film, television, stage production and industrials.
Shortly after graduating from UBC with a degree in Human Kinetics, Moe found herself back in the dance industry as a dancer for the NBA Grizzlies. Her talent for choreography was quickly noticed and she was recruited as choreographer for the CFL’s BC Felions.
This kickstarted her career resulting in her talented ability being widely recognized within the entertainment industry. Some of Moe’s recent television choreography credits include; Goosebumps (Disney), Maid (Netflix), Beverly Hills 90210 (CBS), Turner & Hooch (Disney), Mighty Ducks (Disney),Home Before Dark (Apple TV), Virgin River (Netflix), Twilight Zone (CBS), The X-Files (FOX), The Man In The High Castle (Amazon) and the list goes on. She has also worked extensively with commercial companies including Toyota, McDonalds, Barbie, Comcast, Coca-Cola and Disney.
Moe’s involvement on feature films: Sonic The Hedgehog 2 (Paramount), I Love You Beth Cooper (20th Century Fox), Percy Jackson & The Olympians (20th Century Fox), John Tucker Must Die (20th Century Fox), The Main Event (Netflix), Dr. Doolittle 3 (20th Century Fox). Successfully working alongside directors to produce their vision of each project is why she has become one of the most trusted choreographers in the industry.
Outside of the entertainment industry Moe is an integral part of the dance community, teaching and mentoring young dancers pursuing successful dancing/entertainment careers of their own. Her favourite place to be is in class sharing her love for dance. Her natural wit and charisma in addition to the work she produces is testament to why she has had so much success in all that she does.
