Molly Tiernan (she/her) is an exciting performer, artist, and choreographer, based in Toronto, Ontario. Since the age of three, Tiernan has been pursuing her passion of dance, training competitively for twelve years. In 2024, she graduated with her BFA in Dance from Toronto Metropolitan University (formerly Ryerson), after completing their 4 year, prestigious program.
As an extremely versatile artist, Tiernan is professionally trained in jazz, tap, ballet, Irish dance, contemporary, and street styles. During her time at TMU, she has trained under renowned Canadian/International teachers and artists including Vicki St Denys, Anisa Tejpar, Raoul Wilke, Robert Glumbeck, Tanya Evidente, and Miha Matevzic, where Tiernan was consistently recognized for her unique performance quality, drive and her passion for dance. During her training, she worked with and performed pieces choreographed by Guillaume Côté, Vicki St Denys, and Rodney Diverlus.
Some notable professional performances, already in her early career, include Jekyll & Hyde The Musical in Concert, produced by Doctor Bird Productions Inc. (2024), Orillia Jazz Festival featuring Lance Anderson and World Jazz Asylum, produced by Arts Orillia (2023), INFLORESCENCE, produced by Fall for Dance North (2023), and Ballet Jörgen Touring Company (2018).
Tiernan continues to train in singing and acting to sustain a multi-dimensioned career, as she works to make her mark in the worlds of theatre and commercial dance. She cannot wait to embrace, strive to excel, and grow in her future professional endeavors.
