Natasja Jordan
ACTRA
Natasja Jordan (she/her) is a versatile and multidisciplinary performer and emerging choreographer currently based in Toronto.
Natasja graduated with a BFA in Performance Dance from Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU, formerly Ryerson) and earned two Academic Achievement Awards, recognizing the highest CGPA in her class. Under the direction of Vicki St. Denys, Tanya Evidente, and Louis Laberge-Côté, Natasja achieved a strong foundation of professional movement training in styles such as contemporary, ballet, street styles/hip-hop, Afro-Cuban, modern, jazz, partnering, and musical theatre. Beyond that, Natasja has practiced acting with Marianne McIsaac (TMU), Steven McCarthy and Joanne Boreham (Armstrong Acting Studios), as well as vocal training with Paul Moody (TMU) and Louisa Burgess-Corbett.
Natasja has enjoyed performing on camera in credits such as Motorheads (Amazon Prime/Melissa “JJ” Moore), and SPIN (Disney/Caroline Torti), as well as various dance concept films. Her live performance repertoire includes works by Roberto Campanella and Robert Glumbek (ProArteDanza), Gisele Ardosa (presented by TOES FOR DANCE and TO Live), Guillaume Côté, Alysa Pires (DanceOntario), and Hanna Kiel. Notably, her choreographic work, honey, was presented by Fall For Dance North to showcase the new generation of choreographers in Toronto. Natasja continues to develop her creative process after recently completing a choreographic residency in Calgary with Decidedly Jazz Danceworks.
Always in pursuit of growth, Natasja has completed further development programs, including DART Dance Company’s Summer Master Workshop in Berlin, Germany, and a six-month choreographic mentorship program with MOVMNT Collective (Leah Totten). Most recently, Natasja has joined Ballet Creole under the artistic direction of Yuhala Muy Garcia, and 2.0 Dance Company with co-directors Carl Mandac and Shane Tubog. She also sits on the board of directors for Healthy Dancer Canada, and looks forward to any opportunity to share her skills and passion for the arts with the world.
