Orianne Brunet

Orianne Brunet (she/her) was born in Perth, Australia and grew up in Vancouver, Canada.  She is fully bilingual in French and English and pursues a double English/French high school diploma.

Orianne has enjoyed performing from a very early age, both on stage and on screen.  From age 4 she took dance lessons in ballet, jazz, musical theatre, and tap.  She also enjoyed being part of school plays and productions, both behind the scenes and on stage.  She was involved in competitive dancing between the ages 7 to 11, when her focus turned to ballet and contemporary techniques at Arts Umbrella until age 13. 

In recent years, film acting became Orianne’s primary focus in the performing arts. Since 2022, she has been part of the Film Troupe at Arts Umbrella and has performed in several student productions as an extra and in principal and lead roles. She has also written, filmed, directed and edited her own short film. 

Orianne is a serious and dedicated actor, well-suited to dramatic work and expression of intense emotions. Her instructor describes her as disciplined and hard-working. Orianne is a recipient of the Barry Scott Legacy Fund for her work in Arts Umbrella’s Theatre, Music, and Film 2023-2024 program. 

Orianne wants to continue exploring her passion for the arts and aspires to pursue a career in the film industry as an actor.
