Peter Bent
Non-Union
Hailing from Toronto, Canada, Peter Bent began acting at age 11 in church skits and regional competitions across Eastern Canada. These formative experiences sparked his lifelong passion for storytelling, inspiring him to write, direct, and produce his projects as he cultivated a deep dedication to crafting compelling narratives. Undeterred, Peter pursued another passion—wrestling. He trained briefly at Battle Arts Academy in Mississauga with former WWE Superstar Santino Marella. Injuries eventually ended his wrestling aspirations, but this setback led him back to his core passion—acting—and set him on a
new creative path.
Peter expanded his craft by attending Judith Weston’s Directing Actors
workshop. Since then, he has continued to refine his skills through intensive training with Tom Todoroff, enhanced his improvisational talents at The Second City, and earned praise at Gloria Mann’s workshop. These experiences have collectively refined his capacity to bring authenticity to both comedic and serious roles.
In 2019, Peter delivered a standout performance in A Little Black Lie by Crossfield House Productions, a production that sold out multiple shows and received the Byblacks People’s Choice Award. An active creator, Peter remains committed to writing, producing, and evolving as an artist.
Now part of Amy Jo Berman’s Unstoppable Actor community, Peter’s resilience and passion continue to propel his career forward, positioning him as an emerging talent the industry should watch closely.
