Renée Jennings
Non-Union
Renée Jennings is a Canadian actress with a lifelong passion for storytelling, grounded in a background of competitive dance and theatre. Her passion for acting began while attending an arts-focused elementary school and through formal acting training in a youth program at Carolyn’s Talent Agency. Early on, she portrayed Jane Kangaroo in the theatre production of Horton Hears a Who and Mary in The Christmas Story, experiences that solidified her love of performing.
Renée spent 12 years as a competitive dancer, performing across Canada and the United States. She received the majority of her competitive training at Canadian Dance Company, where she trained in jazz, hip hop, ballet, tap, contemporary, and acrobatics. Her dance background developed the discipline, physicality, musicality, and stage presence that continue to shape her work as an actor. She holds a BA in Communications Studies, which has also shaped her perspective and continues to serve as a foundational tool in her approach to character work.
Renée’s professional credits include national campaigns for Nike, the NFL, Rentals.ca, and Coors, along with film and television credits. Her work includes the short film Lifted (2025), which screened at the Canadian Independent Film Festival, as well as several upcoming film and television projects. Her training includes on-camera studies at LB Acting Studio, improv training with Oakville Improv Theatre, a theatre program with Nia Centre for the Arts, and a recently completed mentorship program with Soho House Toronto and Creative Futures.
