Rita Cado

Rita is a multi-talented performer who began playing piano at the age of four, showing a natural flair for music and performance from the very beginning. Born and raised in Richmond Hill, Ontario, she has brought her energy and gentle charm to the stage in a variety of musical theatre productions. Her roles include Lucille in Junie B. Jones, the Strawberry Seller in Oliver!, and Attendant Samina in Aladdin Jr., all performed at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts. She has received musical theatre and acting training at Ovation! Performing Arts Academy, where she continues to grow as a performer. 

Rita studies piano under the patient and inspiring guidance of Dr. Eda Dobrovetsky, who has helped her develop both skill and confidence. 

On screen, Rita appeared in a commercial for Krinos Mini Rolls and Twisters. Off-screen, she performed with the Marky Monday Ovation Troupe at various summer festivals across the region in 2024, delighting audiences with her enthusiasm and stage presence. 

Beyond the stage and screen, Rita sings in both her church and school choirs and is also a dedicated competitive gymnast. In her free time, she enjoys singing, drawing, needlecraft, and fiber arts—creative outlets that reflect her artistic spirit. 

Rita is deeply grateful to her parents, family, teachers, and friends for their unwavering support and belief in her. With their encouragement and the guidance of da Costa Talent, she looks forward to every new opportunity to grow and share her passion with the world.
