Shin’ichi Hata

Shin’ichi Hata is a Japanese actor and action performer based in Toronto, Canada. His passion for acting began when he was inspired by the world of Harry Potter as a child, where he discovered the power of imagination and storytelling. He aims to become an actor who creates memorable characters and brings excitement to audiences through both emotional and physical performance. 

Shin’ichi graduated from Kyoto University of the Arts with a degree in Film and Acting, where he spent four years studying screen acting and performance under professional actors and Japanese filmmakers. After graduation, he built his career in Tokyo, working in film, television, commercials, and live performances. 

Alongside his acting career, Shin’ichi has trained in tricking and acrobatics for over 10 years and action performance for over 7 years. He works as an action and stunt performer, with skills in acrobatics, parkour, wire stunts, and action choreography. 

His credits include Disney+’s SHOGUN Season 2 (Urakami / Head of Samurai), HBO’s TOKYO VICE, NHK’s Kirin ga Kuru, Amazon Prime’s Shonan Junai Gumi!, and the action film Baby Assassins. He has also performed wire stunts for Universal Studios Japan’s ONE PIECE CM and worked on motion capture projects. 

Throughout his career, Shin’ichi has participated in Japanese films and productions recognized at film festivals and award events. Now based in Toronto, he continues to develop as an international actor, bringing together his Japanese background, acting experience, and unique physical skills to contribute to global productions.
