Renee Sigouin

Renee Sigouin is a performer based in Vancouver, BC, Canada. She completed her post-secondary contemporary dance training in 2012 at Modus Operandi in Vancouver, and was a student of Peter Bingham’s contact improvisation scholarship program. 

Since then, she has performed locally, nationally and internationally originating roles in several works with Out Innerspace Dance Theatre, Kinesis Somatheatro, Joshua Beamish/MOVETHECOMPANY, Company 605, Wen Wei Dance, Mascall Dance, Anne Plamondon, Constance Cooke & EDAM. She joined Crystal Pite’s Kidd Pivot in 2018 and has since been touring with the company, performing in the Laurence Olivier Award-winning shows Revisor and Assembly Hall which were co-created with playwright/director Jonathon Young. 

In 2021 she toured with Mats Ek’s duet program Dialogues, performing in Crystal Pite’s duet “Animation.” Recently she was featured in Jon Bryant’s “Visiting Hours” music video directed by cinematographer Jon Joffin, ASC and choreographed by Justine A. Chambers, and has appeared in several creative editorials directed by Daria Mikhailiuk for Bocci and gravitypope x On Cloud. In addition to performing, she is a guest rehearsal director at Ballet BC
