Sophie Spurn

Sophie Spurn (she/her) is a passion-filled artist born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. She began dancing at three and is most proficient in ballet, contemporary, jazz, hip-hop, heels, tap, acrobatics, ballroom, lyrical, pointe, musical theatre, and aerial.

Following her high school graduation from The Edge School for Athletes in 2022, she started her pre-professional dance journey at The CLI Conservatory as a part of the class of 2023. Under the mentorship of Teddy Forance, the Conservatory allowed her training from industry professionals including Brian Friedman, Lucy Vallely, Andrew Winghart, Johnny Blaze, and many others.  Along with growing her artistry and versatility, the Conservatory provided several industry-like opportunities including dancing in concept videos, exploring choreography through teaching class, assisting Teddy Forance, and live performing. Succeeding this, she was employed with Royal Caribbean Cruiselines where she had the privilege of performing two theatre shows- “Voices”, and “The Effectors II: Crash and Burn”, and gaining aerial experience alongside professional dance experience.

Sophie is now based in Vancouver, Canada, where she continues to train and explore her artistry, individuality, and passion on a deeper level. She hopes to continue to share her unique and individualistic take on the choreography of herself and others and add to the professional and artistic communities in Canada.
