Swetha Pararajasingam

Swetha Pararajasingam is a multidisciplinary performer and choreographer celebrated for her dynamic presence and range as an artist. With over 23 years of training in Bharathanatyam, she has performed on prestigious stages across North America, Europe, and South Asia, seamlessly blending classical rigor with contemporary expression. Her artistry bridges traditional and popular forms, informed by her training in Bharathanatyam, Bollywood, Kuthu, Hip-Hop, Contemporary, and Jazz. 

Swetha’s recent career highlight includes her professional theatre debut at Soulpepper Theatre in Toronto with Takwahiminana, marking an exciting expansion of her practice into the world of stage acting and theatrical storytelling. Her performance history also includes a Guinness World Record for the largest online choreographed dance, as well as appearances in film, television, and music videos, underscoring her versatility as a performer. 

In addition to her performance career, Swetha brings a unique blend of leadership and vision to the arts. A graduate of McMaster University with a degree in Life Sciences and an MBA, she co-founded Vividha Arts Collective in 2025 — a platform dedicated to spotlighting traditional art forms while fostering innovation and inclusion. 

Swetha thrives in roles that explore authenticity, cultural identity, and emotional depth, reflecting her commitment to telling powerful stories through movement and performance. As an artist and cultural advocate, she continues to expand her craft on stage and screen, driven by the belief that the arts can empower, connect, and inspire.
