Tamara Kiyama

UBCP/ACTRA

Tamara Kiyama started dancing at the age of 4 with ballet classes. She soon knew that her passion was to continue dancing, and branched out to other genres of dance. She now trains extensively in tap, lyrical, jazz, ballet, pointe, acro, contemporary, hip hop, modern, and musical theatre with astounding teachers at Poirier Production under the direction of Rachael Poirier in Burnaby.

Tamara has won many high score awards for her dancing at both local and national competitions. In addition to representing at Arts BC Provincials, she has received many scholarships from conventions such as Triple Threat Dance Convention, Jump Dance Convention, Radix, and New York City Dance Alliance (NYCDA).

Tamara is a well rounded teenager as she balances school work with her dance schedule. She is studious and achieves high grades in all of her classes. When Tamara is not dancing or singing, her hobbies include reading, going to the pool, and hanging out with her close friends. She has a great work ethic and is open to everything.

Tamara recently made her TV debut in Netflix’s upcoming series “Healing Powers of Dude” to be released in 2020. She is thrilled to be part of the da Costa team!
