Tatyana Ranaivo was born and raised in the small town of Nova Scotia Canada, where she trained in dance since the age of five at Maritime Dance Academy. Tatyana is a versatile and dynamic professional dancer whose artistry transcends genres. With both her classical and industry training, Tatyana has built a reputation for blending technical excellence with raw, emotive expression and professionalism. Whether on stage, in a studio, or in collaboration with cutting-edge creatives, Tatyana is driven by a constant desire to push the boundaries in her performances. 

Trained in ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, contemporary, heels and modern, Tatyana has completed her Pre-Professional Jazz and Tap exams with the Performing Arts Educators of Canada, Advanced ballet exam with the Russian Society of Ballet and has completed a full year of training at Mather Dance Companies “Bridge Into the Industry” program under Shannon Mather. 

Tatyana has a versatile experience board. She was a dancer on the Nova Scotia Thunderbirds Dance Team, performed with the hip hop crew Fidelity at Resurgence in Los Angeles, took part in choreographic concept videos directed by Nicole Smith and Shannon Mather and starred in a music video called “Friends Don’t Dance” by Kelsey Mae Crawley. Furthermore, Tatyana starred in an episode of the TV show “Stars”, an Eastlink Documentary that focused on young, inspirational, role models in Atlantic Canada. 

Alongside dance, Tatyana also likes to spend time honing in on her special skills, singing being the top focus, and perfecting her fluency in both the French and Russian language. Tatyana is always eager to learn and enjoys new challenges and experiences. She is eager to continue taking on new challenges and hopes to continue to dedicate her work to her passion for performing.
