Ashley Choy

Ashley Choy is a driven and versatile artist who strives for excellence through everything she does. Her extreme passion as a human and artist, motivates her to encounter as many diverse experiences as possible, so she can have the undeniable ability to do it all. Ashley was born in Markham and raised in Barrie, Ontario. She found her love for dance at the age of 9 and currently trains as an elite dancer at Art & Soul Dance Company. Prior to dance, Ashley was a provincial-level competitive gymnast for several years, where she initially developed her love for tumbling and acrobatics.

As a well-rounded artist, Ashley trains and excels in several styles including jazz, contemporary, tap, ballet, acrobatics and hip hop. Ashley is fortunate to have the opportunity to train and work closely with various world-renowned choreographers. Over the years, Ashley has been recognized for her talent through numerous awards and scholarships. Ashley has won several first overalls, and most recently, she placed top 10 senior female best dancer at The Dance Awards nationals.

Ashley’s on screen experience consists of Invisalign’s “Breaking the Band” commercial, the short film “Sara Snow & the Seven Dancers”, View Dance Challenge’s promotional video as a featured soloist, Ace Dance Theatre’s “Penumbra” video performance, and The Body Lab Method’s promotional video shoot. Furthermore, her performance ability has allowed her to be featured in several live performances including Ace Dance Theatre’s “Shift” and “Impulse”, ProArte Danza’s Summer Performance shows, and the Vaughan Film Festival. Ashley has also worked as a model for several dancewear brands including Tiger Friday, Revive Dancewear, and Hamilton’s Theatrical Supply.

Ashley strives to reach new heights as a dancer and actress through the hard work she puts into her craft daily. As a positive figure, she hopes to inspire others with her extreme passion as a human and artist. Ashley is extremely excited and motivated to take on all that her future has to offer.
