Desiree Brathwaite

Desiree Brathwaite (she/her) is a Toronto based performer and received training in Classical Voice Performance at York University. She has also received a certificate in Music, Drama and Voice from the Music Theatre Academy at Wilfrid Laurier University. Desiree has appeared in various productions in the GTA from a young age. Past roles include “The Waiter” in “First Date: The Musical” (The Oakville Players), “Mrs. Gleaton” in “Susannah” and “Mother” in “The Consul”(Longreach Opera Workshop). She was also a finalist for the YTV and CMT reality television show, Karaoke Star Jr in 2009.

Recently, in 2019, she produced and curated her first cabaret in Toronto and is a producer and board member for The Flare Productions theatre company also based in Toronto. Desiree teaches private voice and piano lessons at a Toronto studio and out of her home in the GTA.

In her spare time, Desiree pursues songwriting and enjoys cross-stitching, knitting, baking, cake decorating and painting.
