Kalie Hunter

Kalie is a dynamic and versatile performer having trained in ballet, jazz, contemporary, tap, singing and acting. Originally from Victoria, BC, she is a graduate of the School of Alberta Ballet/University of Calgary. She spent some time travelling and dancing with various companies such as La Caravan Dance Theatre, Ballet Espressivo, and Silverseas Cruise Lines as a featured dancer/aerial acrobat before deciding to call Toronto Home. In 2007 Kalie made her musical theatre debut in Beauty and the Beast which was a co-production between The Citadel Theatre and Theatre Calgary. This show was a pivotal moment that made Kalie fall more in love with musical theatre and since then she has gone on to perform in countless productions for Drayton Entertainment, The Panasonic Theatre, Theatre Calgary, Stage West Calgary, MTC, etc. She also has had the pleasure of dancing across many film and tv screens in shows such as Star Trek, Nikita, Suicide Squad, etc and seems to have a special knack for monster/vampire prosthetic work; she can be seen as Ghost Annie in the movie Pay The Ghost, or as multiple versions of vampires in the tv series The Strain.

Kalie is the co-owner of Metro Movement Dance Studio in Toronto and her classes are high energy, start with a full warm up and she is known for her ability to help people improve their technique and alignment. She is also a seasoned adjudicator and works coast to coast finding inspiration in the abundance of Canadian talent.
