Kamal Amanda

Kamal Amanda, known musically as Zaraya, is a Jamaican-born performer based in Toronto, celebrated for her versatility as a singer, dancer, and actor. From the ages 8 to 12, She trained in afro caribbean dance and hip hop at the Edna Manley College of the Visual and Performing Arts and later trained in acting at nurmerous studios and workshops in Toronto, while also working with vocal and performance coaches to refine her craft.

Kamal was recently cast as Lesley and Mrs. Wilkinson U/S in Billy Elliot at the Neptune Theatre in Halifax, NS and was featured as a singer on Hallmark’s Mistletoe Murders. As Zaraya, she is emerging as a powerful independent artist, set to release her second single, ‘No Ring’, on June 11 2025. Passionate about storytelling and artistic expression, she brings depth and authenticity to every performance while actively contributing to a vibrant and inclusive creative community.
