Steven Chau

Steven Chau (he/him) is a queer, Hong Kong-Canadian actor, dancer, choreographer, and creative director based in Toronto. His multidisciplinary work spans film, television, music videos, and commercial campaigns — often defined by sharp storytelling, intricate musicality, and an unapologetic theatrical edge.

Steven’s screen presence blends comedic timing with emotional depth, while his choreography leans into layered, genre-bending movement that celebrates individuality and impact. He’s performed and created for productions with Disney, Netflix, and The Next Step (S10), and collaborated with icons like Queen Priyanka on stage and in music videos. He starred in ONE OK ROCK’s Stand Out Fit In music video — a global release that now holds over 65 million views on YouTube.

His choreography for the Osmow’s Super Bowl commercial marked a standout moment in his commercial career — casting and leading a full team of 50 dancers while bridging movement with branded storytelling on a national scale.

Whether starring in dance-driven short films or choreographing viral visuals, Steven is known for his detail-oriented process, electric energy, and creative leadership. A graduate of Toronto Metropolitan University’s Media Production program, he continues to shape stories that reflect queer identity, diaspora, and a love of movement that defies convention.
