Tivon Charles

Tivon Charles is an International Award Winning Actor who grew up in the Niagara Region. Tivon is mixed raced (Trinidadian & Canadian). Tivon has had a love of movies and storytelling since the tender age of 5. It would be around the age of 8 when he started showing interest in becoming an actor himself, so his parents enrolled him in theatrical acting lessons at the Shaw Festival Theater in Niagara On The Lake, Ontario. As time went on, Tivon would develop a passion for the art of acting and storytelling through theater.  In the  Fall of 2019, Tivon would be casted as Charlie Bates in GCP’s (Garden City Productions) Oliver. Later that year and into 2020, Tivon was casted as a news boy in Shaw Festivals “Gypsy”.  

As previously mentioned, Tivon attended acting lessons at Shaw Festival where he got the opportunity to be coached by Molly Atkinson and a handful of other amazing actors/performers/creatives. Tivon attended CMTC (Canadian Modeling and Talent Convention) in early 2019 where he partook in a handful of workshops including commercial print, runway and improv. 2023 would be a pivotal moment in Tivon’s acting journey, he did a couple of short films for Paradigm Studios and later that year would be casted as a lead actor in the movie “Jackknife” which premiered at the TIFF Lightbox Theater in Toronto in early March of 2024. 

Skills include: basketball, steel pan, trampoline skills, singing, volley ball, tennis,badminton, swimming, rowing, video gaming and dancing.
