Mark Ezekiel Rivera, 13-year-old Filipino Canadian actor, singer songwriter, composer and pianist from Scarborough, Ontario. He can be seen starring in a CBC original comedy series “Son of a Critch” premiering on Jan 2022. The show is based on the award-winning, best-selling book written by Mark Critch who stars in CBC’s “This Hour Has 22 Minutes”.

Mark Ezekiel is also one of “Good New Kids” on “HEY MEISHA” Season 2, a biblical teaching variety show on YESTV where he shares God’s word, his love for music and entertainment.

Mark Ezekiel’s music career started at the age of 7, where he took formal classes in voice and piano. In 2017, he was the Junior Champion in Piano at New Conservatory of Music. In 2018, he won 1st runner-up in Junior Category in Piano and Voice and received a scholarship at New Conservatory of Music for 2 consecutive years. He also performed a solo front act in a major concert Golden Voices featuring Martha Joy of Canadian Idol. That same year, Mark was the youngest semi-finalist in Long and McQuade singing contest by Jon Santos.

Mark Ezekiel wrote several songs including “Hope in Our Hearts,” “Ritmo Rapido,” “Love Is True,” “This Heart of Mine,” “This Is a Moment” and “Your Love.” These original songs are all available on music streaming platforms.

Mark also wrote the song “Good Friends” which he sang with JDL Cupid Arch, a representative team of JDL School of Performing Arts. He is the youngest member of praise and worship team on Kingsway Christian Church where he sings and plays the piano.

Mark is a Grade 8 student in French Immersion Program. He is enrolled in UCMAS and Kumon where he pursues his love for Math. He also attained his 1st dan black belt in Taekwondo.
