Ophelia Szafran

Ophelia (she/her) is an up and comer who is passionate about acting and storytelling. Her first leading role in a short film happened at the age of 6 and she instantly fell in love with being on camera. Being an avid movie lover, she knew that one day she would be and could be on the big screen.

Ophelia loves acting because she loves embodying a new character and exploring new ways to push and challenge herself. Ophelia had her breakout role as Lauren in the short film “Nora” released at the Hamilton Film Festival. She has experience working on set and has been working hard one on one training with HamOnt Acting studio perfecting her self-tape etiquette, ability to scene study and crying on cue.

When Ophelia isn’t at school learning French as a second language, you can find her on the balance beam or practicing her floor routine at gymnastics. She has won two leadership awards at school. She loves to draw, read and create stories. Ophelia’s positive attitude and hard work makes her a joy to work with. She lives by the motto “Life is a daring adventure, or nothing at all”
