Ty Forhan

Ty Forhan is an ambitious and versatile performer from Toronto, Ontario. His love of the performing arts started at the age of four in local community theatre productions. At eight years old, Ty began taking lessons in voice as well as a variety of different dance styles. When he was eleven years old he began his dance education at Elite Danceworx as a full time competitive dancer where he honed his skills in contemporary, ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap and acrobatic dance. During his time at Elite Danceworx, along with a high caliber dance education, he was also fortunate enough to be given the opportunity to work closely with some of the top industry professionals such as Jason Parsons, Travis Wall, Katy Spreadburry, Nick Lazzarini and Stacey Tookey. 

Ty began his professional career at the age of 12 starring in the Ed Mirvish production of “Billy Elliot the Musical” as the role of Billy Elliot. After playing the title role at the Ed Mirvish Theatre Ty joined the North American touring production where he was fortunate enough to play Billy in over 18 different cities. Ty has gone on to dance on a variety of different Film/TV networks including Netflix, Disney Channel, and Family Channel. Ty is featured as a dancer in TV series “Tiny Pretty Things” (Netflix), season one and two of “Backstage” (Family Channel), season two of “The Next Step” (Family Channel) and Disney Chanel’s “American Girl Doll: Isabelle Dances Into the Spotlight”.  

Ty is continuously working on his craft as he is eager to better himself and grow as an artist. He is excited to see where his ambition and hard work will take him in his career as well as the connections he will build with other artists along the way.
