Vanessa Medley

Vanessa Medley is a versatile and passionate performer with a solid foundation in dance and a growing presence in film and television. Currently pursuing her BFA in Performance Dance at Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU),  she continually refines her artistry through both academic study and independent training. Vanessa discovered her love for dance at a young age—a space where she could channel her boundless energy and playful spirit. Her extensive training in ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, tap, and acrobatics has cultivated a distinctive blend of technical precision and expressive artistry. 

At TMU, Vanessa works closely with industry professionals such as Vicki St. Denys, and Tanya Evidente, and has performed in original works by choreographers like Lukas Malkowski. Beyond the classroom, she trains independently at Studio North and has participated in professional intensives including ProArteDanza—always seeking new challenges to expand and diversify her creative palette. 

Vanessa’s on-camera experience spans nearly a decade. A proud ACTRA member, she has worked as a background and special skills performer in film and television since 2016. She brings calm professionalism and natural screen presence to every set, confidently navigating high-pressure environments. Her experience also includes commercials, musical theatre, and school productions, where she deepened her appreciation for storytelling and ensemble work. Combined with her competitive dance background, these experiences have shaped her into a dynamic and committed artist both on stage and on screen. 

Approaching every project with intention and a relentless drive to grow, Vanessa channels her passion into impactful performances and authentic creative expression—whether in rehearsal rooms, on stage, or on set. Grounded in Toronto’s vibrant arts scene, she is poised to contribute her unique perspective and energy to Canada’s entertainment industry.
