Jillian Burke (they/she) is a Vancouver-based actor and physical theatre artist with a flair for comedic chaos, heartfelt intensity, and just the right amount of weird.
Jillian is currently touring across Canada with the Fringe Festival hit Brain—a devised clown duo directed by award-winning artist Blair Moro. Their work on stage is deeply rooted in physicality and play, with a knack for toggling between the gut-punch real and the delightfully absurd. In 2024, Jillian produced and performed their original piece Gnawing Mind at Indiefest, and is now developing their next work The Night Sun—a surreal, emotionally-charged clown show exploring borderline personality disorder through movement, metaphor, and dark whimsy. They co-devised the piece with Desert Rose Theatre Collective.
Select performance credits include: The Watsons (Spark Theatre), Brain (Fringe tour) , The Tempest and A Chorus Line (Studio 58), and voiceover work for The Boy Who Fell. Behind the scenes, Jillian recently worked as an intimacy director trainee on DTF? (Crazy8s). Trained at Studio 58 and Vancouver Acting School, Jillian brings curiosity, courage, and a dash of delightful mischief to every project. Whether it’s clown, classical, or camera—if it makes you laugh, ache, and feel a little less alone, they’re in.
