Bethany Caldwell

Bethany Caldwell is a Canadian actor and vocalist whose performances are marked by authenticity, heart, and an unmistakable stage presence. With formal training from Toronto Film School and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from the University of the Fraser Valley, Bethany has cultivated a well-rounded and emotionally rich approach to performance –  grounded in classical technique and driven by a deep love for storytelling.

Bethany’s stage credits reflect a dynamic range, from iconic characters like Mother Abbess in The Sound of Music and Mrs. Potts in Beauty and the Beast, to bold, character-driven roles such as the Wicked Witch in The Wizard of Oz and Lena in The Romeo Initiative. She  has brought depth and nuance to Shakespearean and contemporary roles alike, with performances in Twelfth Night, Such a Heart as Yours, and Around the World in 80 Days.

Bethany’s musicality has been recognized at the national level—she was a two-time competitor at the Federation of Canadian Music Festivals in 2017 and 2019, representing her province in musical theatre vocal performance. Her vocal versatility and expressive power continue to inform her work on stage and beyond.

In 2023, Bethany was selected as one of only ten artists across Canada to participate in The Leading Players Project, a national initiative spotlighting plus sized emerging musical theatre talent. There, she had the opportunity to collaborate with leading professionals in the industry, further honing her craft and expanding her creative voice.

Known for her sincerity, work ethic, and warm energy, Bethany brings a collaborative spirit to every project. Offstage, she engages with a growing audience online, where her vibrant personality, body positivity and love of fashion have earned her a combined following of over 180,000 across TikTok and Instagram.
