Rickie Wang is a multi-faceted 13-year-old actor based in Vancouver, Canada, whose passion for creative expression shines across film, television, stage, and music. Rickie is gaining recognition as a notable young talent in the Canadian entertainment industry.

Rickie’s foundation in screen acting includes private coaching from Iris Quinn at Impact Studios, as well as formal training through King Creative Studios which is a Premiere Vancouver Acting Studio specializing in Professional Film & TV Acting for Teens program. His performances are marked by a keen sensitivity to character and a strong sense of presence, whether on camera or in front of a live audience.

Currently, Rickie stars as the lead in The Bryce Lee Story, an Asian-Canadian drama directed by Arnold Lim. He portrays Bryce Lee, a Chinese boy who fabricates a connection to martial arts legend Bruce Lee to impress his classmates—a role that explores themes of identity, belonging, and cultural pride. The film marks a major milestone in Rickie’s career, showcasing his ability to carry complex emotional arcs with authenticity and nuance.

Rickie’s screen credits also include a principal role in Netflix’s Avatar: The Last Airbender, where he worked under director Jabbar Raisani. He played the lead role in Kevin Cho’s short film, Anicca, and held a recurring role in the beloved children’s series Daisy and the Gumboot Kids. His voiceover work includes Run, Jump, Play!, where he showcased his vocal range and musicality, and Heroes of the Golden Mask, adding depth and energy to animated storytelling.

On stage, Rickie earned the 2025 Ovation Award for Outstanding Youth Performance for his portrayal of Oliver in Oliver!. His theatrical repertoire also includes Elf: The Musical, The Sound of Music, and Dolly Parton’s Smoky Mountain Christmas Carol, where he demonstrated versatility in both dramatic and musical roles.
